Godliman-Watson Homes’ employees get a day off work for charity
Employees of Prestwich based Godliman-Watson Homes, were recently given a day off work from their Albert Park View development site in Salford, in order to participate in the company’s first Yorkshire Dales 3 Peaks Challenge to help raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support and Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The walk was a physical challenge for the 19 employees who walked a distance of 25 miles and climbed over 1,500 metres in all weathers.
Iain Watson, director of Godliman-Watson Homes, said: “This was a great opportunity to support both charities. Many of us have and will be affected by these terrible illnesses. Having seen first hand the work Macmillan Nurses and Motor Neurone Disease Association carry out, it just seemed right to raise funds for both.”
We are proud to say that Godliman-Watson Homes and our staff collected over £4500 for the charities. Cheques were presented to both charities at a dinner in Whitefield. If anyone is interested in donating to either organisation or would like more information about Godliman-Watson Homes, please contact Allison Kindelspire on 0161 773 1895 or log onto www.godlimanwatsonhomes.com.
